Mako Casino sister sites 2025

Ted Casino

You’ll find our full review of Mako Casino a little further down this page. In it, you’ll see that we don’t think that it’s the most inspired or original of casino sites. We can say the same about Ted Casino. In fact, we could even say that the two casinos are virtually identical. That’s nothing personal about Ted Casino, though; it’s true of a great many Mako Casino sister sites. The similarities are down to a template that ProgressPlay Limited likes to use when it’s putting casinos and betting sites together for its paying white-label casino customers, but the drawback of the template is that it makes the casinos look like clones. The name “Ted Casino” could have been brought to life by a teddy bear theme which would have brought the whole site to life, but the opportunity has been missed. The result is a casino that lacks any kind of individual charm.

Bet Storm

There are two ways of looking at the UK’s online sports betting scene. One way would be to say that there are far too many sports betting sites already, and the market is too crowded for new brands to break through. The other way would be to say that the number of sports betting sites indicates strong demand, so it makes sense to service that demand by launching new sites. The people behind Bet Storm clearly believe in the second theory because they launched Bet Storm in 2021. Just as Mako Casino is typical of the casino sites on the ProgressPlay Limited network, Bet Storm is typical of the sports-focused Mako Casino sister sites. The sportsbook that it offers is the same as the one you’ll see elsewhere on the platform. In fact, you’ll also find it at the next site we’re going to take a look at.

GatoBet

The main difference between GatoBet and Bet Storm is experience. Some of the Mako Casino sister sites have been around for longer than others, and GatoBet is one of those that have been around for long enough to gain a reputation. Recent player reviews suggest that the reputation isn’t a great one, but at least people know and use the brand. At the heart of GetoBet is the same supremely detailed sportsbook that we’ve already seen at Bet Storm. It’s one of the industry’s deepest and most detailed, with (allegedly) 55000+ betting opportunities available every month, divided between over one hundred sports. Even with all those betting opportunities, though, there’s a curious omission from the sportsbook – you can’t use GatoBet to bet on horse racing. That may be a reflection of the fact that GatoBet was made for an international audience, as horse racing isn’t as popular elsewhere as it is in the UK.

Monkey Casino

Speaking of Mako Casino sister sites that were made for an international audience, here’s Monkey Casino. While almost all of the ProgressPlay casino sites available in the UK are also available elsewhere, none of them makes it as obvious that the UK isn’t a major focus for them than Monkey Casino does. It doesn’t even list the value of its welcome promotion in pounds on its homepage. That isn’t our only issue with the Monkey Casino homepage. Its design is drab, dated, and deeply uninspired. You could easily believe that Monkey Casino was made over a decade ago, but it’s far younger than that. Like Ted Casino, Monkey Casino is guilty of not doing enough with its theme to justify its name. It’s a wasted opportunity to take a name like “Monkey Casino” and not pair it with a cute monkey mascot to appeal to players. As it is, the site has no hook at all.

vegas paradise screenshot

Vegas Paradise

Vegas Paradise is a better-looking casino than Monkey Casino despite being considerably older. In fact, Vegas Paradise has been around for longer than almost any of the other Mako Casino sister sites. ProgressPlay Limited was founded in 2012, and Vegas Paradise went live the same year. It’s one of the first iGaming sites the highly respected operator ever came up with. It’s showing its age a little now in terms of its design, but it has plenty to offer when it comes to betting content. Vegas Paradise, like the best hotels in Las Vegas, offers live dealers, hundreds of slots, and a sportsbook. Some of the slots at this casino have seven or even eight-figure jackpots, and you can check the latest jackpot values in the middle of the homepage. If Vegas Paradise were to be given a new look, it would be one of the best casinos on the platform.

interbet screenshot

Interbet

We’ve seen two iterations of Interbet already – we called them Bet Storm and GatoBet. The Mako Casino sister sites that focus on slots and casino games often look similar, but those that focus squarely on sports tend to be virtually identical. If it weren’t for the fact that the colour scheme and the logo change when you move from Interbet to GatoBet or Bet Storm, you might not necessarily know which of the three sites you were logged into at any one time. As the sportsbook that powers the sites is the same (right down to the odds), the only opportunity for the sites to stand out for each other is in their themes and promotions. They don’t have themes, and their promotions are as identical as their game catalogues are. The plethora of sports betting options among the Mako Casino sister sites is merely an illusion of choice.

oreels screenshot

O’Reels

With a name like O’Reels, this has to be an Irish-themed casino site – except it isn’t really. The green tinge around the O’Reels logo (plus the font) screams “Irish,” but there’s nothing else about the casino that fits the theme. This is, yet again, a consequence of O’Reels being made with the same template as Mako Casino. It simply isn’t adaptable enough to allow room for proper theming, and that’s why so many of the Mako Casino sister sites look and feel so plain and uninteresting. It would be easier to overlook the “same old” style of O’Reels if it blew us away in other areas, but it actually has one of the weakest welcome promotions on the whole ProgressPlay Limited platform. Most of the casinos on the network have matched deposit welcome promotions. O’Reels can only muster a few free spins. It’s a dud.

Mako Casino Review 2025

Mako Casino Sister Sites Welcome Bonuses

A lot of the Mako Casino sister sites are guilty of making things too complicated with their welcome promotions, so Mako Casino deserves credit for not doing that. The first deposits made by new players at the casino are matched at one hundred per cent up to an absolute maximum of £200. The bad news is that the x50 wagering requirement that applies to all bonus funds is excessive, and the x3 limit on bonus conversion is too low.

Other Promotions

Mako Casino tries to give players control over the bonuses they receive. There’s a “rewards store” attached to the site (the same rewards store you’ll find at a lot of the Mako Casino sister sites), and players can buy things from it using rewards points. Points are accrued through normal betting activity, through completing Mako Casino’s “missions,” and taking part in other aspects of the site like tournaments and other promotions. Typical things players may wish to buy with their rewards points include more matched deposit bonuses, simple bonus cash with no deposit necessary, and free spins packages of various sizes. There are plenty of other rewards available, too.

Top Games at Mako Casino

All of the Mako Casino sister sites share the same portfolio of games, but you won’t always see them presented in the same order on the casino’s homepage. At Mako Casino, the slot listed first is Thunderstruck II. That seems like an odd choice given the fact that this Microgaming classic is more than a decade old, but the Norse/Viking theme has never been more popular than it is now, so it makes a degree of sense. 9 Pots of Gold is in second place and is an Irish-themed reskin of 9 Masks of Fire from Gameburger Studios. Success in that game relies heavily on landing multiple scatter symbols. Legacy of Dead is the third most prominently featured slots game at the site and is one of many sequels to Book of Dead by Play’n Go. It doesn’t break any new ground, but if you enjoy the Egyptian theme, you’ll probably enjoy this.

Customer Support and Licensing

Opening the support link at Mako Casino takes players to a customer support portal, which begins with an FAQ. If the information you seek isn’t in the FAQ, your options are to either email customersupport@instantgamesupport.com or drop a message in the chat box. Mako Casino doesn’t guarantee that there will be anyone there to respond to you immediately. The UK Gambling Commission licence that covers Mako Casino – number 39335 – is held by ProgressPlay Limited. The operator was accused by the regulator in May 2022 of failing to adequately protect its vulnerable players or take appropriate steps to prevent money laundering. The charge came after a review. ProgressPlay accepted the charge and paid £175K in lieu of a formal financial penalty.

Withdrawal Speed and Support

Mako Casino won’t make many friends by charging one per cent of all withdrawals as a fee (maximum: £3), but it does it anyway. It also takes one full working day to process withdrawal requests, which feels unnecessary. PayPal customers get short shrift from Mako Casino, as they’re made to wait three to seven days for transfer of funds. That’s the same delay that faces customers who use debit cards for withdrawals. Neteller e-wallet holders are treated far better with a one-day wait, whereas ecoPayz customers have a three-day wait. No other withdrawal methods are supported.

Final Thoughts on Mako Casino

Mako Casino is a casino much like any of the others (apart from the top two or three) on this casino network. It’s a full-service casino site, by which we mean it has sports betting and a live dealer casino to go with its fine collection of slots. It lacks a theme or a real identity, though, and those withdrawal terms and conditions aren’t friendly. Neither are the casino’s wagering requirements for bonuses.
